A writing career was not in the cards for me. There was no way I was publishing my work. That meant people would read my work LOL. No offense to anyone, but the writing was just my haven. Being socially awkward as a child, it became my outlet to get my feelings out. I found a new way to express myself. While my confidence has grown as an adult, I still hesitated with publishing.
Self-publishing presented itself to me in 2013. I published my first holiday story and overall it received positive reviews. Yet, I kept my writing in the background. It wasn’t until my dad said, “I think if you gave this a go, you could make it.” For my dad to tell me that, it changed my perspective.
